Chai Guy Chai was inspired after a Missions trip to India. Falling in love with the culture, people, and Chai. Pat returned home with an inspiration to make his own Chai and share it with family and friends. His wife started calling him, “The Chai Guy!“

While working on a painting job in 2014 at customer accidentally backed into Pats parked work vehicle; a Red Chevy Astro Van. The van was so old that parts were not available to be purchased for the repair. An insurance check for $1500 was paid out. With that money, Pat started The Chai Guy, launching at the Historic City Of Rochester’s Public Market in Oct. of 2014, and working right out of the back of that van every Saturday, outdoors, throughout the year.

As The Chai Guy business launched, word of mouth spread, and local Cafes and Coffee houses started requesting Chai Guy Chai for their drink menus. After 5 years in, this Saturday side hustle with a few wholesale accounts, has grown into a fulltime family run business. We are so grateful to share our fresh, local, authentic Chai with YOU!
